Pneumatic Spider description of Tubular Handing Tools:
Model C CHD E tubing pneumatic spider with slip is used for oil well drilling and workover servicing operations. The spider allows the cable pass through during operation. Conforms to API standard. INCLUDE: Type C, CHD, E, and F.
Designed for heavy duty use. It has a size range of 1.315" through 5 1/2" by changing out slip bodies and inserts. It is made of high alloy heat treated steel for strength and resistance to wear.
Pneumatic Spiders are utilized to grip drill pipes, tubings and casings in oil well drilling and repairing.
They are designed and manufactured according to API Spec 7K Specification for drilling and well servicing equipment.
